A contributor to Unstrung Insider, John has nearly 20 years of experience as a journalist covering the telecom sector in Europe and beyond. Based in Germany, he has worked in senior editorial positions at CommunicationsWeek International (where he launched the quarterly New Carrier), tele.com Magazine, the451.com and most recently IDG News Service. In addition to reporting on the telecom industry for the Financial Times and IEEE Spectrum Magazine, he has conducted research for several other industry analyst firms. Two primary areas of expertise are wireless and carrier services. John is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, and has also studied at the University of Heidelberg in Germany.
